Engineering is one of the most favourite subject among Indian students going to study abroad especially UK. Recently, more and more students have shown interest in studying Aerospace Engineering in UK. The aerospace is further divided into aeronautical and astronautical engineering.
The aerospace engineering deals with the designing, manufacturing, and operating of the aircraft and spacecrafts. Studying aerospace engineering involves studying a lot of modules of mechanical engineering such as thermodynamics, heat transfer, jet propulsion, mathematics, engineering material, etc.
Entry Requirements
For Undergraduation, students need to have maths and physics in class 11th and 12th in India. There are no entrance tests for the students except for Oxford and Cambridge who have their own. For Oxford, students need to give Physics Aptitude Test (PAT), Cambridge has a pre-interview written test which consists of Maths/Physics MCQ’s (80 minutes) and Engineering specific questions(40 minutes).
For Postgraduation, students need to have a undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering or related field.
Can mechanical engineering graduates pursue master’s in aerospace?
Yes, since the basic fundamentals of both are same, mechanical graduates can pursue masters in aerospace engineering.
IELTS
Minimum of 6.0 bands in each section, but it can be up to 7.5 for some universities.
